The resources and services of the Library and Information Centre of BLDEAs College of Pharmacy, Jamkhandi are developed to meet the academic and research needs of students and faculty members. The mission of the Library is to provide timely access to relevant information resources while ensuring the preservation and effective utilization of its collections. The Library supports teaching, learning, and research by offering a conducive academic environment and equitable access to information for all users.

The Library is well stocked with a rich collection of printed books, reference materials, back volumes of journals, and digital resources. It subscribes to a wide range of national and international journals in print and electronic formats. The Library is also a member of HELINET, providing access to extensive e-resources and scholarly databases. Adequate safety and security measures are in place to protect library resources and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Rules and regulation

The library will remain open from Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on all working days and on Saturday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Any changes in the schedule will be notified on the library notice board from time to time.

Every person entering the library shall sign the Gate Register as a token of acceptance to adhere to the library rules.

Readers should keep their personal belongings such as umbrellas, bags, briefcases and coats at the property counter and are allowed to carry notebooks or loose sheets inside the library if required

To refer to any book in the library, readers must submit their reference card at the reference counter and make an entry in the reference register.

Reference books are not permitted to be taken outside the library.

Reference books may be photocopied with the permission of the Librarian or library staff. Readers shall maintain silence and proper discipline in the library.

Academic Pharmacist (Training Diploma in Pharmacy Students).

Engaging in conversation, discussion, group study or sleeping inside the library is strictly prohibited.

Food and drinks are strictly prohibited in the library.

Use of mobile phones is not allowed in the library.

All books, journals and other library materials must be handled with care.

No tracing or mechanical reproduction of any reading material shall be done without the permission of the Librarian.

The issue and return counter will remain open from Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Each B.Pharm and D.Pharm student is issued a borrowers card.

Only one book shall be issued at a time against one borrowers card.

The borrower’s card must be renewed every academic year.

B.Pharm and D.Pharm students may borrow one book for a period of seven days.

Students are not permitted to lend their library cards to others or borrow books using another student’s card.

These library rules may be altered, amended or added to by the concerned authority from time to time.

Digital library

The library has a well established computer centre with access to the Internet and online database facility for the staff and students
